Renee Eastman is Senior Director of Federal Affairs for Salt River Project (SRP), the nation’s third largest public power utility, which provides electricity to more than 2 million people in Arizona and is the largest water supplier for the Phoenix metropolitan area. Ms. Eastman joined SRP in 1995 and is the head of the Washington, D.C. office where she directs federal and intergovernmental affairs advocacy and strategy. Her areas of expertise include energy, environmental, water, and tax policy issues as well as coalition building and strategic communications. She has over 30 years of government relations and policy experience, including serving as a legislative aide on Capitol Hill.
Ms. Eastman serves in numerous leadership positions including President of the Women’s Energy Resource Council (WERC), Public Affairs Council Board of Directors, Chair of the Large Public Power Council’s Communication’s Task Force, and Ford’s Theatre Board of Governors.
Originally from Huntsville, Alabama, Ms. Eastman graduated with honors, Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Alabama with a B.A. in political science and double minors in economics and history.
