Marsden Hanna leads global energy market development initiatives for the Infrastructure Group at Google. His work is focused on creating more cost-effective, customer-centric electricity supply models and to establishing pathways for Google and others to source 100% renewable energy on every grid where it operates.

Prior to Google, he was Director of Business Analysis and Strategy at Opower Inc in the Washington, D.C. metro area. He has previously worked at the U.S. Department of State as a member of the climate change negotiating team, and at the U.S. Department of Energy in the Office of Policy and International Affairs.

He holds a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Public Administration from the John F. Kennedy School at Harvard University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Northwestern University.
