Chris Conlin headshotChris Conlin currently serves as a Tax Counsel to the Senate Finance Committee majority, where he works on a variety of issues including energy tax, individual income tax, and tax administration. Prior to joining the Senate Finance Committee, Chris served as Tax Counsel in the personal office of Senator Chuck Grassley between 2012 and 2019. In addition to working on tax policy for Sen. Grassley, Chris handled other legislative issues including banking, small business, Social Security, pensions, and general economic issues. Prior to working for Sen. Grassley, Chris worked as a Counsel on the Senate Judiciary Committee between 2011 and 2012 and was the research assistant for the Senate Finance Committee Republican tax staff from 2009 to 2011. Chris received his B.A. in political science from the University of Iowa in 2004 and his J.D. from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America in 2010.
